For detailed information on the subject of data protection, please refer to our privacy policy set out below this text.
Data collection on this website
Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the section “Information on the controller” in this privacy policy.
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected firstly by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data you enter into a contact form.
Other data is collected automatically or with your consent by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (for example internet browser, operating system or the time the page was accessed). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected in order to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour. Where contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data is also processed for contract offers, orders or other enquiries.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. Furthermore, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of data protection.

We host the content of our website with the following provider:

The provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (hereinafter Hetzner).
For details, please refer to Hetzner’s privacy policy:
https://www.hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy/.
Hetzner is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably as possible. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (for example device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
3. General information and mandatory disclosures

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various items of personal data are collected. Personal data is data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We point out that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) may have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

The controller for data processing on this website is:
VIP Bus Connection GmbH & Co. KG

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (for example names, email addresses or similar).
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (for example retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion takes place once those grounds no longer apply.
General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR where special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. Recipients of personal data
In the course of our business activities we work with various external bodies. In some cases this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external bodies. We only pass on personal data to external bodies where this is necessary for the performance of a contract, where we are legally obliged to do so (for example passing data to tax authorities), where we have a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in passing on the data, or where another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using processors, we pass on personal data of our customers only on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint controllership agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. This right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
The supervisory authority responsible for us is:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Alt-Moabit 59-61
10555 Berlin, Germany
Phone: +49 30 13889-0
Fax: +49 30 215 50 50
Email: mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de
Web: https://www.datenschutz-berlin.de
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place insofar as it is technically feasible.
Information, rectification and erasure
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any other questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data but you require it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may — apart from being stored — only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol in your browser line.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our web pages use what are known as “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do no harm to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are deleted automatically by your web browser.
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (known as third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable certain services of third-party companies to be integrated within web pages (for example cookies for handling payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (for example the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies which are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (for example the shopping basket function) or to optimise the website (for example cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
Where further cookies and services are used on this website, you can find details in this privacy policy.
5. Analysis tools
Google Analytics 4
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter Google). We use it to evaluate which pages are accessed and how our offering is used, in order to improve the content and structure of the website. We also use it to measure whether our adverts on Google Ads lead to contact being made, and we use the visit data for remarketing: anyone who has visited our website may subsequently see our adverts again on other websites.
Consent and legal basis
Google Analytics is loaded only after your express consent. As long as you have not agreed, no Google script is executed, no cookies are set and there is no connection to Google. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. When the Google services are loaded, we additionally transmit your decision to Google as a machine-readable signal (known as consent mode), so that Google only processes the data to the extent you have consented to. Consent is voluntary, is not required in order to use this website, and can be withdrawn at any time.
You decide on both purposes separately. Alongside “Accept” and “Reject”, the consent dialogue offers the “Statistics only” button: with it you consent to reach measurement alone. The advertising functions described below — Google signals, audience building and remarketing — then remain switched off, and our website reports the corresponding signals to Google as expressly denied. There is no “advertising without measurement” option, because the audiences are built from the measurement data.
Which data is processed
Where consent has been given, Google processes, among other things, the pages accessed, the time and duration of the visit, the page visited previously, the approximate location, device type, screen resolution, browser and operating system, as well as a shortened IP address. Google Analytics 4 shortens the IP addresses of users from the European Union on servers within the EU before they are processed further; the full IP address is not stored. Your device is recognised by means of a pseudonymous identifier in the cookie. We do not collect details such as name or address, and we do not combine the data with other data sets.
In addition, we report to Google when you click one of our email addresses or telephone numbers on this website. All that is transmitted is that such a click took place and which of the entries it related to — not whether you subsequently actually wrote or called, and certainly not the content of any message or conversation.
Google signals and remarketing
We only use the following advertising functions if you have agreed to them with “Accept” — not with “Statistics only”. Via Google signals, Google additionally collects data from visitors who are signed in to their Google account and have permitted personalised advertising there. Google can link your devices to one another in the process: if you visit our website on a computer, Google may later recognise you on your mobile phone — and vice versa.
Google builds audiences for us from the visitors to our website (remarketing): anyone who has visited our website may subsequently see our adverts again on other websites and in apps. Membership of such an audience ends automatically no later than 30 days after your last visit. We do not learn which individuals belong to an audience; at most, Google provides us with aggregated evaluations without any personal reference.
Link with Google Ads
We place adverts on Google Ads and have linked our Analytics property to our Google Ads account for this purpose. This allows Google to attribute whether a click on an advert subsequently led to one of the forms of contact mentioned above. This is based on an identifier that Google appends to the address called up when an advert is clicked.
This link serves to measure success and for the remarketing described above. We do not learn which person is behind an individual click or an audience.
Transfer to the USA
A transfer of data to Google LLC in the United States cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR are in place. Even on this basis, access to the data by US authorities cannot be entirely ruled out.
Cookies used
| Name | Purpose | Storage period |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishing returning visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_SE1QFZEEBK | Session status for this property | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Attributes contact being made to the preceding advert click; only set if you have agreed to the advertising functions and reach us via a Google advert — not with “Statistics only” | 90 days |
| vbc-consent (local storage, not a cookie) | Stores your decision regarding consent | until you clear your browser storage |
Storage period
Two periods must be distinguished. The cookies remain on your device for as long as stated in the table above; you can delete them yourself at any time via your browser, independently of us and of Google. Separate from this is how long Google retains the collected usage data on its servers. Google automatically deletes the usage data after 2 months. Aggregated evaluations — such as the number of page views per month — continue to exist beyond that; they cannot be attributed to a device or to a person.
Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that Google processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Withdrawal of your consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, or limit it to “Statistics only”. Withdrawal is just as easy as giving consent: it takes one click on “Withdraw all consent” at the top of this privacy policy. To change your choice, open the – this control is also permanently available in the footer of every page. On full withdrawal, the Google cookies that have been set, including the advertising cookie _gcl_au, are deleted, measurement is switched off immediately, and the withdrawal is transmitted to Google as a signal. If you subsequently limit consent to “Statistics only”, we remove the advertising cookie and report the advertising signals as denied; no further data is then collected for remarketing. The lawfulness of the processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Independently of this, you can prevent collection by Google Analytics on all websites by installing the browser add-on provided by Google: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
You can also switch off personalised advertising altogether directly with Google for your Google account: https://adssettings.google.com/. Inclusion in our audiences that has already taken place expires automatically after the period stated above, regardless of this.
Further information
You can find details of how Google handles user data in Google’s privacy policy and in the privacy information for Google services.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to see how our pages are found in Google search. Ownership is verified by means of an identifier in the source code or in the domain record. No data from your device is collected, no cookies are set and no connections to Google are established. The evaluations come from Google’s search index, not from your visit to this website. Consent is not required for this.
